GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Camelback Moving is committed to making a difference in our community. Though established partnerships we are able to provide in-kind services of moving and storage as well as facilitate the donation of household goods from our customers to organizations in need. If you have unwanted clothes, dishes, furniture or appliances please consider contacting us as we can often pick up and deliver these goods at no cost.
If your charity has a need that may fit with our services feel free to contact us to discuss future partnerships and how we may be of service.
Florence Crittenton of Arizona is a non-profit organization that has served Arizona’s girls and their families for well more than a century. They offer a comprehensive continuum of care designed to help at-risk girls from 10 to 21 overcome issues of abuse, neglect, teen pregnancy, teen parenting, and behavioral and/or mental health problems.
Most importantly, Florence Crittenton creates safe environments where girls and young women can discover the support of a caring community and the possibility of a bright new future.
The partnership we have established is a great fit as they are able to accept large amounts of donation furniture and household goods. These are either donations directly from Camelback Moving, our vendors or our customers that wish to give to this wonderful cause. The goods are sold at their retail thrift store Flo’s on 7th with the proceeds going to fund the organization.
“Florence Crittenton would like to express our gratitude from Camelback Moving’s continued partnership with Florence Crittenton and Flo’s on 7th. Your support helps make a difference and changes young girls’ lives. Funds are not only used to provide a safe environment, but also for education, life skills and job training to help young women become self-sufficient adults.”
– Melody Mountain, Store manager, Flo’s on 7th
Homeward Bound is Phoenix’s largest provider of transitional housing and comprehensive social services for families with children fleeing domestic violence and/or homelessness. Through a combination of housing, supportive counseling, education, childcare and budgeting, clients are able to move toward self-sufficiency.
“Having a way to pick up donations is critical in the non-profit world and is one of our greatest challenges. Camelback Moving is outstanding to work with and make donation collection a seamless process for us. They understand how we need flexibility to coordinate with our donors’ schedules and have made a significant contribution through their manpower and compassion for serving families in need. They are not only the face of Camelback Moving, they are the face of Homeward Bound.”
